Unilever Uganda and Golden Marketing Uganda recently conducted a trade visit to Gulu, Uganda to engage with customers and drive excellent execution in both modern trade and general trade. The visit was led by Stefan Cloete, Managing Director of East Africa for Unilever, and Antony Esyalai, Marketing Director for Home & Hygiene at Unilever Southern Africa.

During the visit, the team met with valued Unilever customers to get their feedback on products and services. They also visited general trade retail and wholesale POPs (point of purchase) to interact with customers and transform the market.
One of the key initiatives that was implemented during the visit was the livening up of the Cynabel outlet, which is one of the most prominent outlets in Gulu. This was done through merchandising, rewarding customers through price downs promos, and educating them on new products.

The trade visit was a great success and it helped to strengthen the partnership between Unilever Uganda and Golden Marketing Uganda Limited. It also helped to identify opportunities to further grow the business in Gulu.
